..i spent a great deal of time trying to decide if this shot should be in colour or not (the crackled radials are a really bright red which contrasted well with the sunlight & background wall) but after a couple of glasses of wine it was pretty obvious that the b & w image was far more striking..i decided to digitally sharpen it because this heightened the contrast between the foreground & background but also seemed to highlight their similarities somehow..
